Private hospital positions are rather difficult to obtain but it is possible for suitably qualified candidates as specialists/ consultants.
In the first instance doctors need to liaise with the private hospitals.

A basic degree in Medicine or ‘Surgery and Post Graduate degree from universities recognized by the Malaysian Government. Post Graduate degree from universities not recognized may be considered.

A basic degree in Medicine and Surgery from universities recognized by the Malaysia Government.
(iii) Dental Officer
A basic degree in Dental Surgery from universities recognized by the Malaysian Government.
4. Experience
(i) Medical Specialist
(a) A minimum of two (2) years working experience for Post Graduate degree from universities recognised by the Malaysian Government.

(b) A minimum of five (5) working experience for Post Gradueate degree from universities NOT recognised by the Malaysian Government.
(ii) Medical Officer
(a) A minimum of (3) years experince aftar basic degree Medicine or surgery excluding intership/housemanship.
(iii) Dental Officer
(a) A minimum of (3) years experience after basic degree Dental Surgery
5. Age
Medical Specialist 50 years and below
Medical Officer
Dental Officer 45 years and below
6. Registration With Malaysian Medical Council And Malaysian Dental Council.
Successful candidates will have to register with the Malaysian Medical Council or the Malaysian Dental Council.
7. Status of Appointment
On a contractual basis. Initial appointment for a period of three (3) years and may be renewed in accordance with service requirement. Successful candidates will be required to sign an agreement with the Malaysian government.
8. Further Engagement
Six months prior to the expiry of the period of engagement the Officer shall, by notice in writing inform the Government whether or not be desires to continue in the service of the Government after the expiration of the period of the engagement whereupon the Government shall before the expiry of the period of engagement inform the Officer by notice in writing whether or not the Government has decided to re-engage him.
9. Terms of Re-engagement
Any re-engagement of the Officer by the Government shall be on such terms and for such period as shall be determined by the Government.
10. Obligations of Officer
(i) Perform the duties of the office in which he is engaged and any other duties by the Government.
(ii) Reside in such place within Malaysia as the Government shall direct from time to time.
(iii) Neither directly not indirectly engage or employ himself in any other service or business whatsoever nor receive commission of any kind without the prior written consent of the Government.
(iv) Devote the whole of his time and attention to the service of the Government and endeavour to the utmost of his ability to promote the interest of the Government.
(v) Obey and comply with orders and instructions given to him by the Government.
(vi) Obey and comply with, in so far as they are applicable and not inconsistent with or varied by the Agreement, all General, Financial, or other administrative orders of the Government.
(vii) Not disclose any information respecting the affairs of the Government to any unauthorized person.
11. Passage to Country of Domicile
The government will grant the Officer Medical passage to his country of domicile for himself and for his dependants as are specified in the Agreement, upon completion of the period of engagement.
12. Leave
During the period of engagement the Officer is eligible for the period of 30 days paid leave and subject to the conditions set out in the Schedule hereto.
13. Sick Leave
During the period of engagement the Officer will be eligible for sick leave in accordance with the provisions of the Government General Orders and administrative orders.
14. Medical Treatment Overseas
The Officer is a permanent resident of Malaysia be shall not be eligible to a Medical passage to his country of domicile.
15. Eligibility For Medical Passage
If the Officer is a permanent resident of Malaysia be shall not eligible to a Medical passage to his country of domicile.
16. Dismissal
If the Officer at any time neglects or refuses or from any cause other than the cause specified in Clause 7 hereof fails to comply with any order given by a duly authorized Government Officer or discloses any information respecting the affairs of the Government to any unauthorized persons or in any manner misconduct himself the Government may dismiss him and upon such dismissal all rights and advantages reserved to the Officer under this Agreement shall forthwith be determined.
17. Termination by Government
The Government may at any time terminate the service of the Officer by giving him notice in writing as provided in the Schedule hereto or upon paying him one month’s salary in lieu of such notice.
18. Termination by the Officer
The Officer may at any time determine his service by giving the Government notice in writing as provided to the Schedule here to or upon paying the Government one month’s salary In lieu of such notice.
19. Gratuity
Seventeen and half percent (17.5%) minus the current percentage of Government share to the Employees Provident Fund (EPF) (12%) time the Officer’s last drawn monthly salary for each completed month of service less the total interest of Government’s share of EPF for the same period.
