Frequently Asked Questions

Got a problem? Please read through the following list before doing anything else. Most problems are related to passwords and all these, and many other questions are answered here.

1. I've entered my ad and have my password and username, but I still can't get into the members' area.

2. I have paid for my ad, now how do I get into the members' area?

3. What is the point of the free search links/ guest facility if I can't see the contact details?

4. I've lost my username and password (I'm not a member).

5. I've lost my member's username and password.

6. I want to change the email address that appears in my ad.

7. I'm getting an error 'Could not connect to MySql database'.

8. I can't get into the members area, or modify my ad, even though I am entering the password.

9. I've entered my ad, but I can't see it when I do a search.

10. I've paid my money, but I haven't yet received a username.

11. My password doesn't work when I try to modify my ad.

12. I can't modify my password.

1. I've entered my ad and have my password and username, but I still can't get into the members' area.

When you enter an ad, you also provide a username and password of your choice. However, this username and password can only be used to modify or delete your own ad. They do not give you access to the members' area. If you wish to join as a member so that you can see the full details of all the ads, then see the information at http://www.medicalmantra.com/matri/member.htm

2. I have paid for my ad, now how do I get into the members' area?

You can't, at least not without joining as a member also. Paying for your ad means that the full details of your ad can be seen by all visitors, either members or guests. That's over 1,000 doctors per month. However, if you wish to view the full details of all of our non-paid ads, then you must join as a member. 3. What is the point of the free search/ guest facility if I can't see the contact details?

Guests can see the contact details of only those ads that have been paid for. All of the free ads have had the contact details and the descriptions removed. The purpose of the guest facility is to let you decide whether there is any point in joining as a member. If you are looking for a 34 year-old Parsi doctor living in Europe then the guest facility will tell you if there are any on the database. If there aren't, then save your money and do not become a member.

Also, many of our ads are paid ads. Guests can see the full details of these including all contact information. Guests can choose to see only such ads if they wish.

4. I've lost my username and password (I'm not a member).

Send the EXACT email address that you entered in the ad to info@medicalmantra.com. The database is case-sensitive so make sure you use the same case letters. It would also help if you could pass on a few details of the ad as it appears (age, gender, education etc). Your username and password will be sent to you by email.

5. I've lost my member's username and password.

Send your email address and name to info@medicalmantra.com. We'll send you a reminder. Please remember to mention that it is your Membership username that you want to be reminded of.

6. I want to change the email address that appears in my ad.

You can. You must use your username and password to modify your ad.

7. I'm getting an error 'Could not connect to MySql database'.

This problem is rare, fortunately. If it happens please notify info@medicalmantra.com and we will start up the database again.

8. I can't get into the members area, or modify my ad, even though I am entering the password you gave me.

Remember: usernames and passwords are case sensitive. If your username is 'parag', there's no use entering 'PARAG'.

9. I've entered my ad, but I can't see it when I do a search.

The data in some ads gets corrupted when it is stored to the database. Use your username and password and select the 'Modify Matrimonial' option. Check that all your details are correct. If not, change them.

10. I've paid my money, but I haven't yet received a username.

Usernames and passwords are only issued once payment has been confirmed. For credit card payments this usually takes about 24 hours, but is sometimes a little longer. Please be patient.

11. My password doesn't work when I try to modify my ad.

If you are a member: are you using the correct password? You should not be using your membership password to modify your ad. A separate username and password are created, which are provided by you when you enter your ad. Please use these.

If you are using your correct username and password, there may be a problem in the database. Send us an E-mail.

12. I can't modify my password.

You cannot modify your membership password.
